Position Overview:
We are seeking a Field Technician III to support our customer's EA-18G Systems Integration Laboratory (SIL) at Point Mugu, CA. This role involves the full lifecycle support of advanced laboratory systems used in software and hardware development for Electronic Warfare (EW) and RADAR systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in RF or digital electronics, system-level troubleshooting, and hands-on experience with test and diagnostic equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, evaluate, operate, maintain, repair, and upgrade laboratory system hardware, software, firmware, and operating systems.
Provide hands-on technical support for equipment, integrated systems, and test benches in environments such as development labs, engineering benches, emulators, and simulations.
Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting of RADAR/EW systems and RF/digital equipment with minimal supervision.
Use RF/digital test tools such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, multi-meters, and power meters to evaluate system performance.
Install, configure, and upgrade systems ensuring alignment with engineering specifications and change directives.
Document lab processes, configurations, and system upgrades accurately and thoroughly.
Provide effective communication with internal teams and maintain professional customer relationships.
May conduct training for customer personnel on system operations and maintenance.
Travel to support field activities and customer sites as required (up to 50%).
Basic Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience (or additional technical education).
Background as an Aircraft Technician or equivalent electronics role.
Working knowledge of IT systems and networking fundamentals.
Hands-on experience in maintaining and troubleshooting electronic systems.
Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 lbs regularly.
Active DoD Secret Clearance (investigation within the last 5 years).
Willingness and ability to travel both domestically and internationally.
