Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Assembler II with a strong background in electronic assembly and wire harness fabrication. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative team environment, enjoys precision work under a stereo zoom microscope, and is experienced in fine pitch soldering and circuit card assembly.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform intricate assembly of electronic circuit cards and complex wire harnesses under a microscope.
Solder fine-pitch components in accordance with industry and customer standards.
Interpret and execute tasks based on diagrams, engineering drawings, and detailed work instructions.
Conduct continuity checks and in-process inspections to ensure product quality.
Perform disassembly, modification, rework, and reassembly of electronic components as needed.
Adhere to and maintain high standards of workmanship and product quality.
Complete and maintain internal training certifications as a condition of employment.
Maintain accurate records and documentation of work completed.
Operate in a metric-driven environment, meeting production and quality goals.
Support flexible job assignments based on team and business needs.
Handle and transport materials up to 10 lbs and utilize required PPE.
Basic Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED.
Minimum of 4 years of experience in electronic assembly or a related field.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical documents, schematics, and work instructions.
Strong attention to detail with a focus on product quality.
Proven ability to perform assembly/manufacturing tasks under standardized procedures.
Comfortable working under a microscope and using small hand tools.
Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
U.S. Citizenship required with the ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
IPC or J-STD soldering certification.
Experience in a defense, aerospace, or high-reliability manufacturing environment.
Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement.
