Northrop Grumman's Aeronautics Systems sector is seeking a Principal Cost Account Manager (CAM) Electronic Warfare to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals in defining the future. This position will be located in Melbourne, FL.

The RFEW engineer is expected to be a highly motivated self-starter with an ability to operate effectively with a team of engineers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish labor/material baselines. Provide to your program office regular material Earned Value Management (EVM) updates, other analysis of material and touch labor actual costs and estimates as needed, schedule projections, cost and schedule variance analysis, and risk assessments.
  • Ensure compliance to Earned Value policies, procedures, and desktop procedures.
  • Develop monthly forecasts of material spends. Conduct variance analysis to submitted forecasts.
  • Plan, organize, and manage program labor/material requirements to ensure successful execution of production program objectives.
  • Assist in development, execution, and peer review of test procedures
  • Participate in both Formal and Non-Formal Test execution events
  • Develop troubleshooting procedures and work-around documents
  • Participate in test planning, problem report validation testing, and post testing data analysis
  • Work in an engineering lab supporting customer requirements utilizing testing equipment


Basic Qualifications:

Principal Cost Account Manager (CAM) Electronic Warfare (T03)
  • Must have a Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university AND 5 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering; OR a Master's degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited university AND 3 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering; or a Ph.D. AND 1 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering.
  • Must have an active Secret (or higher) clearance (with a background investigation within the past 6 years or enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance.
  • Experience with Microsoft Project, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Jira, and Confluence
  • Experience preparing and delivering briefings for Customer and Engineering Leadership
  • Electronics troubleshooting


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong work ethic and the ability to work in an integrated product team (IPT) environment
  • Master's degree in Business related discipline
  • Experience managing and tracking procurement of program materials
  • Highly motivated to solve complex problems and continuously improve
  • Ability to produce high quality work both independently and with a team
  • Strong verbal and written technical communication skills
  • Must have familiarity with Systems Engineering practices and processes
  • Active in-scope Top Secret clearance with current or previous Special Program Access (SAP)


Salary Range: $95,300.00 - $142,900.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
