HOW A SENIOR INTELLIGENCE ANALYST WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
Intelligence Gathering and Assessment
• Analyze data from various sources to identify investigative opportunities and actionable intelligence in support of programs including cybercrime, narcotics, identity theft, dangerous goods, and workplace violence.
• Evaluate information from open-source platforms such as social media, chat rooms, forums, the darknet, the TOR network, news feeds, and Internet relay chats.
• Perform prioritized assessments to identify critical and reliable data points—such as bitcoin transactions, account activity, physical locations, email and IP addresses—to determine the physical attribution of online identities.
• Create comprehensive intelligence and investigative reports documenting methodology, data sources, and conclusions drawn from the analysis.
Open-Source Internet Analysis Tools
• Proficient in cyber intelligence tools and software used to mine data from the surface web and dark web.
• Advanced knowledge of cybercriminal tactics, including methods of obfuscation, online business operations, and the structure of underground marketplaces and forums.
• Skilled in leveraging technology solutions to search, analyze, and prioritize illicit marketplaces and actors, identifying high-value targets and responding to Requests for Assistance/Information (RFAs/RFIs).
• Experienced in using blockchain analysis tools (paid and open source) to trace fund movement and produce in-depth financial intelligence reports.
• Demonstrated ability to identify and analyze cryptocurrency transactions, particularly those occurring within the dark web.
Data Analysis and Reporting
• Conduct detailed data analysis and research, presenting findings through tabular, visual, and graphical formats.
• Communicate analytical outcomes to various organizational levels in a clear and concise manner, emphasizing insights and relationships.

Required Qualifications
• Hands-on experience using cyber intelligence tools to investigate open-source and darknet/deep web environments.
• In-depth understanding of dark web ecosystems and cryptocurrency exchange platforms.
• Proven ability to track and analyze cybercriminal behavior and identify priority targets within illicit forums and marketplaces.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills; capable of delivering technical insights in a digestible format.
• Active Top-Secret Clearance required.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Engineering, Intelligence Studies, or a related field.
• 8+ years of relevant experience supporting intelligence operations related to cybercrime, cryptocurrency, and the dark web.
• Demonstrated expertise in cryptocurrency tracing, investigation, and law enforcement collaboration.
• Proficient in visual analytics tools such as MicroStrategy, Tableau, and/or i2 Analyst Notebook.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a keen attention to detail.
