Characterization Support Engineer
Key Role:
P erform facility vulnerability characterizations in support of Depart ment of Defense (DoD) requirements, including physical and engineering analysis, physical and functional characterization, and assessment of vulnerabilities of hard and deeply buried targets (HDBT). Develop suggestions for actions to counter threat HDBT capabilities based on identified vulnerabilities. Integrate all-source intelligence, geotechnical data, HDBT expertise , and engineering best practices to produce 3D physics-based models of threat facilities using government-provided software. Develop innovative solutions to complex problems. Work independently and share functional expertise with team members through collaboration and mentorship . This position is located in Pyeongtaek, South Korea.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $77,500.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. Basic Qualifications:
- 4 + years of experience performing structural vulnerability analysis and producing HDBT characterizations and 3D models
- 4 + years of experience using the Underground Targeting and Analysis System (UTAS) and Integrated Munitions Effect s Assessment (IMEA) software
- Experience with MS Office suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Ability to utilize multi-source intelligence, technical data formats , and engineering know -how in support of characterization of HDBT threats
- Ability to apply Advanced Target Development (ATD) weaponeering concepts t o identify facility vulnerabilities and validate defeat solutions
- Ability to coordinate with internal and external organizations for collaboration and adherence to standards and guidance
- Ability to develop and present briefings or white papers on technical topics for government leaders
- TS/SCI clearance
- Bachelor's degree
Additional Qualifications:
- Experience working for the Underground Facility Analysis Center (UFAC)
- Experience with producing HDBT characterizations in the Indo-Pacific theater
- Experience producing Battle Damage Assessment (BDA) products
- Knowledge of Combat Assessment (CA)
- Knowledge of Advanced Weaponeering , Target Coordinate Mensuration (TCM) , Joint Targeting Cycle, and Collateral Damage Estimation (CDE)
- Bachelor's degree in an Engineering field preferred; Master's degree in an Engineering field a plus
- Professional Engineer (PE) L icense
- Graduate of the UFAC Underground Facility (UGF) Schoolhouse
