JOB TITLE: DOEHRS Hearing Conservationist (CA)

Position Summary: DAWSON is seeking CAOHC-certified Hearing Conservationists to support Medical Readiness Events for the California Army National Guard (CA ARNG). This position plays a key role in ensuring Soldier hearing readiness through field audiometry, DOEHRS-HC data entry, and documentation review. Work is primarily on weekends, with some occasional weekdays. All work is on a part-time "as needed' basis. We provide health readiness services to meet the medical and dental requirements to maintain a deployable military force for the California Army National Guard (CAARNG).

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES COULD INCLUDE:

• Preform manual audiograms and evaluations (hearing tests)
• Utilize the DOEHRS-HC system to collect, maintain, compare, and report hearing readiness data
• Review test results for quality control, accuracy, contrast, and identify any significant changes in hearing thresholds
• Maintain accurate data on sign-in sheets, requisitions, etc.
• Scan through documentation to identify Soldier's required screening(s)/test(s)
• Safeguard all patient information
• Ensure all actions follow HIPAA and other appropriate federal and state laws and DoD regulations, while staying up to date with relevant regulations and guidelines
• This position requires dedication to supporting the health readiness of military personnel and ensuring they receive the highest quality hearing assessments to prevent noise-induced hearing loss and maintain their overall well-being

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Current CAOHC Certification in Occupational Hearing Conservation
• Must be eligible for CAC issuance and government system access (e.g., DOEHRS-HC, MODS)
• A valid US driver's license
• Experience working with DOEHRS and BENSON software
• Utilization of universal precautions for patient care
• 1+ years' experience in a medical/dental setting
• Meticulous in reviewing test results, maintaining accurate records and adhering to strict protocols.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changes quickly
  Ability to concentrate for lengthy periods and perform accurately with adequate speed

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with Individual Medical Readiness (IMR) tracking and documentation
• Experience in mobile clinics or military field medical environments

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Will require some travel throughout California
• Occasionally required to stand
