We are seeking talented Mid-level Cyber Systems Engineers - Delegated Authorizing Official Representative (DAO-R), to provide critical Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA) support for a prestigious National customer. Note: An offer for this position is contingent upon contract award.
- In this role, working under only general directions, you'll contribute to enhancing the Information Assurance (IA) posture through:
- IA Management
- Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) coordination and reporting
- Risk Management Framework (RMF) application
- IA compliance measurements and metrics
- Assessment and Authorization (A&A)
- Vulnerability Management
- Cyber Defense support
- Daily tasks include, but not limited to:
- Supporting adherence to ICD-503 and customer specific directives/policies through the lifecycle (RMF 1-6) of customer sponsored assets
- Providing risk recommendations after reviewing sponsored asset overall risk posture as part of Authority to Operate (ATO) RMF process
- Supporting/managing/tracking customer sponsored assets' plan of action and milestones (POAMs) by working with various security stakeholders (ISSO/ISSE/ISSM/SCA) post authorization
- Screening new asset requests to ensure sponsorship and information system owner identification
- Facilitation support to the System Review Team to ensure that new/existing customer sponsored assets have the correct project regulation, data type/C-I-A impact assignments, and overlay assignments as well (with customer signoff)
- Understanding of assigning asset security controls and levy asset specific liens on controls for which the program did not meet during accreditor reviews
- Ensure customer sponsored assets maintain their security postures in accordance with customer identified Continuous Monitoring (RMF step 6) directives and policies
- Provide continuous ad hoc authorization-related daily support to both customer and programs
Qualifications
Required:
- BS 5-7 Years, MS 3-5, PhD 0-2
- Must possess and have the ability to maintain a TS/SCI with Poly
- Availability to work in a SCIF environment during core hours (0900-1500; Mon - Fri)
- Proven experience with RMF Process and NIST 800-53 technical controls
- Expertise in certification and accreditation documentation
- Proficiency with Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Oracle Cloud, Google Cloud) and Cloud Security groups
- Skilled in vulnerability management tools and Splunk reporting
- Strong teamwork and collaboration abilities
Desired:
- STEM degree or advanced IA certification
- DoD 8570 certification in IAT or IAM
- Self-motivated with organizational and prioritization skills
- Knowledge of AWS, ServiceNow, and Cross Domain Systems (CDS)
- Familiarity with IC or DoD Cyber Security processes
- Innovative problem-solving skills for complex technical challenges
- Holistic approach to end-to-end systems development and lifecycle management
- Familiarity with translating high-level strategies into detailed system specifications
- Experience in customer liaison and business development support
- Experience in system conceptual design and multi-discipline engineering collaboration
- Knowledge of requirements verification and customer acceptance testing
