Must be a U.S. Citizen
Clearance Required: Active Secret
Description: Tekla Research requires a commercial air services (CAS) scheduler at FACSFAC VACAPES (FFVC located at NAS Oceana, VA) to support the PMA 226 Program Office. The FFVC CAS scheduler works closely with CSG-4 in the scheduling of CAS aircraft in the execution of fleet exercises which could be over 300 events covering approximately 30 days. In addition to fleet exercises, the CAS scheduler will support local squadrons with unit level training, weighing asset availability and funding/ flight hours on contract. Unit level training also includes SURFLANT ships with SURFLANT assessed events in addition to Afloat Training Group (ATG) towed target events. Flight time availability is kept up to date weekly with the scheduler verifying the service providers previous weeks of support that the CAS scheduler will reconcile upon the receipt of the service providers "as flowns" which are normally received each Monday. The CAS scheduler will write and publish a weekly schedule for CAS aircraft. This schedule will be used to determine the CAS service providers performance through a mission sortie completion rate; sorties scheduled versus missions successfully flown. The schedule also contains non fleet missions (F-16 chase, MARFORCOM, PEO ships, etc) that are provided from PMA-226 but utilize east coast CAS assets, thus a close liaison with PMA-226 scheduler is maintained. Finally, the FFVC CAS scheduler works closely in the scheduling of special use airspace (SUA) in and around Navy Dare Bombing Range Complex in North Carolina in addition to scheduling Joint Terminal Attack Controller (JTAC) usage within the Navy Dare range. Data management is essential for flight hours, sorties, SUA usage, etc and is used for data calls, reporting or as needed. Other duties may occur as assigned.
