Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking an Associate or Experienced Tooling Engineer to join this dynamic team in support of the Innovation Cell and sitewide Tool Engineering initiatives.

Our team is dedicated to supporting BGS Tool Engineering initiatives by designing, fabricating, and deploying innovative tooling solutions that address complex challenges across various aircraft platforms. The Innovation Cell plays a pivotal role in this mission, focusing on rapid prototyping and concept development to create and invent new methodologies for aircraft construction. This team operates at the intersection of creativity and engineering, leveraging advanced technologies and innovative thinking to develop new tooling methods and processes. By fostering a culture of experimentation and agility, the Innovation Cell aims to quickly address complex challenges, streamline production workflows, and ultimately contribute to the advancement of aerospace technology. Team members are encouraged to think outside the box, explore new ideas, and collaborate closely with other engineering disciplines to bring transformative concepts to life. We aim to enhance production efficiency and ensure the highest standards of quality and safety in our tooling processes.

Position Responsibilities
  • Evaluate program and project requirements
  • Develop complex equipment and tooling concepts, and design solutions that align with our production system
  • Compiling and analyzing technical data
  • Ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards
  • Conducting training for production and maintenance personnel
  • Involved in validating contractual performance milestones and maintaining configuration control, while actively contributing to the continuous improvement of our tooling processes


Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
  • Minimum of 2 years of related work experience
  • Strong knowledge of tooling design, fabrication processes, and manufacturing methods.
  • Proficiency in mechanical component and system design, analysis, and integration.
  • Familiarity with quality systems and standards (e.g., BQMS, ISO9001, AS9100).
  • Experience in risk management and technology readiness assessments.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex technical problems and develop innovative solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety awareness and continuous learning.
  • Strong customer focus and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.


Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • (Level 3): 3+ years of higher education and/or related work experience. (Higher education includes college, university, technical school, licensing/certification programs, etc.)
  • Strong knowledge of tooling design, fabrication processes, and manufacturing methods.
  • Proficiency in mechanical component and system design, analysis, and integration.
  • Familiarity with quality systems and standards (e.g., BQMS, ISO9001, AS9100).
  • Experience in risk management and technology readiness assessments.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex technical problems and develop innovative solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety awareness and continuous learning.
  • Strong customer focus and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Salaries are based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range for Associate level (Level 2): $76,500 - $103,500

Summary pay range for Experienced level (Level 3): $90,100 - $121,900
