General Qualifications
Must have Active Secret Security Clearance
4+ years of Network Engineer experience
Experience configuring, patching, and updating systems and networking equipment.
Experience with Linux operating systems
Cisco DNA Center, BGP, EIGRP, and OSPF highly desired
Education
High School Diploma or General Educational Development (GED) with 4 years of equivalent professional experience.
Alternatively, High School Diploma or General Education with a Certificate in Technology Service or Technical Discipline
Certification(s)
Required Certificate(s)
- Only One of the following is required:
CompTIA Security+
Cisco Certified Network Associate-Security (CCNA-Security)
GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC)
Desired Certificate(s):
Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
Key Deliverables

Knowledge
Knowledge of networking concepts, protocols, and technologies
Knowledge of evolving IT environments and cybersecurity threats
Knowledge of risk management processes (e.g., methods for assessing and mitigating risk).
Skills
Skill in effective communication at multiple levels and able to grasp system concepts and communicate their applications.
Skill in establishing a routing schema.
Skill in protecting a network against malware. (e.g., NIPS, anti-malware, restrict/prevent external devices, spam filters).
Skill in configuring and utilizing network protection components (e.g., Firewalls, VPNs, network intrusion detection systems).
