Pay is based on experience, starting at $65k+

Responsibilities:
- Establishing Data Governance Frameworks: Creating and implementing frameworks, policies, and standards for data management, including data quality, security, and privacy.
- Ensuring Data Quality: Implementing measures to improve and maintain data accuracy, completeness, consistency, and validity.
- Data Security and Privacy: Developing and enforcing policies and procedures to protect sensitive data, ensuring compliance with PII, CUI (relevant regulations like HIPAA or GDPR.)
- Data Stewardship: Provide best practice for defining roles and responsibilities for data ownership and stewardship, ensuring clear accountability for data quality and usage.
- Data Discovery and Access: This aligns with current efforts our team is implementing regarding Group Permissions and Framework. Develop and implement processes for data discovery, access control, and usage guidelines.
- Data Governance Training and Awareness: Providing training and guidance to employees on data governance principles and best practices.
- Collaboration and Communication: Working with various stakeholders, including business users, IT teams, and data scientists, to promote data governance and ensure alignment with business objectives
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of data governance principles: knowledge of data management concepts, data quality principles, and data security best practices.
- Ability to identify and resolve data quality issues, analyze data-related problems, and develop effective solutions.
- 2+ years of experience managing SharePoint environments (including permissions, customizations, and workflows).
- Strong proficiency with Excel, Microsoft 365, Power Platforms, SharePoint Online, and data visualization tools.
- Knowledge of Navy data systems and cybersecurity standards.
- Experience with data migration and meta tagging.
- Ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences, including business stakeholders and technical teams.
- Familiarity with data management tools and technologies, including databases, data warehouses, and data governance workflows in a SPO.
- Experience creating document libraries on SharePoint Online.
- Experience writing SOP's for Navy.
- Active Secret Clearance
