Job Description:
* This Senior Plating Engineer position will support Plating Activities for our Southbridge, Massachusetts location.
* This role includes both individual hands-on laboratory activities and cross-functional team efforts.
Responsibilities:
* Drives stability and process improvements through measurement, detailed analysis and process controls
* Creates and maintains process work instructions and standard operating procedures
* Troubleshoots and solves process issues to ensure production targets are met
* Ensure customer quality requirements are reviewed, understood, & met.
* Responsible in the development, optimization, and documentation of new processes and equipment
Requirements:
* Bachelor's Degree in: Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related field required; or 10 years practical experience
* Five or more years plating experience in R&D, manufacturing or product development preferred
* Good interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written, ability to produce publishable technical documents
* Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Power Point, etc.)
* Able to work in collaborative team environments
* 3D CAD modeling knowledge/Autodesk Inventor experience is a plus but not required
