Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking Systems Software Analyst This position can be located in Roy, Utah or Huntsville, Alabama and will support the Sentinel program.

What You'll Get to Do:

We are seeking a System Software Analyst to join our Sentinel Atlassian team. This role is pivotal in supporting and managing Jira, Confluence, and Crowd systems. The ideal candidate will demonstrate knowledge of the Atlassian suite of tools and the ability to work in fast-paced environment.

This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off . This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.

Basic Qualifications:
  • 2 Years with Bachelors in relevant field of study; 1 year with Masters or 4 additional years in lieu of a degree.
  • U.S. Citizen with ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance and Ability to obtain Special Program Access (SAP).
  • Knowledge of Jira, Confluence, and Crowd administration and customization.
  • Experience working in a Support Service capacity
  • Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Groovy, JavaScript)
  • Understanding of integration between Atlassian tools and other systems (e.g. GitLab).
  • Proficiency in SQL for database interactions, and familiarity with REST APIs for system integrations.
  • Proficiency with JQL (Jira Query Language) for building advanced queries inside Jira.
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to obtain IAT Level II certification, such as Security+.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Active DoD Secret clearance with SAP access
  • Significant experience managing large-scale projects or multiple teams focused on Atlassian tools.
  • Exposure to strategic planning and executive-level decision making.
  • Familiarity with other IT service management and collaboration tools.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD processes and integration with Atlassian toolsets.
  • Experience with Groovy programming language
  • Experience with Adaptavist ScriptRunner
  • IAT Level II certification, such as Security+, as per DoD Cyber Workforce requirements.

Salary Range: $77,200.00 - $128,000.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
