BGS is currently seeking a Design and Analysis Engineer to become part of the Direct Attack Support Equipment Team in St. Charles, Missouri.
This individual will work in a team environment to develop test and repair capability for a wide variety of avionic and/or weapon systems. Our team develops and maintains a wide range of Automated Test Equipment (ATE) and analysis tools for numerous weapons programs, including the Joint Direct Attack Munition (JDAM), Small Diameter Bomb (SDB), Massive Ordnance Penetrator (MOP), B61-12 tailkit, and High Altitude Anti-Submarine Warfare Capability (HAAWC). Our test equipment and software are used to support all phases of platform/weapon development, from demonstration to production to field support and depot repair.
The successful candidate will work with internal and external customers to develop and document complex electronic and electrical system requirements, as well as analyze and translate requirements into system, hardware and software designs and interface specifications as well as developing software in a variety of languages. You will perform testing and validation to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements, as well as monitor supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements. You will solve problems concerning support of fielded hardware and software over the entire product life cycle, while researching specific technological advances for potential application to company business needs.
Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including; Mid-Level or Senior Design and Analysis Engineer.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
- 5+ years of engineering work experience
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- 9+ years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience with software development on Windows and Linux platforms including C++/C#, Java, and scripting languages
- Experience with software and hardware configuration control tools
- Experience with automated test equipment, avionics, and/or weapons programs
- Experience with RS422/RS232, PC104, Windows Embedded, TCP/IP & Ethernet, IEEE-488, MMSI, and MIL-STD-1553 communication standards, protocols and/or interfaces
- Experience leading a team and/or cross-functional projects
