The Boeing Company is looking for an Associate Contract Management Specialist to support the E-7 program based out of Tukwila, WA.
The Boeing E-7 Airborne Early Warning & Control (AEW&C) system is a combat-proven force multiplier, offering unparalleled capabilities to monitor airspace, communicate with surface, ground, and air assets, and facilitate integration across the joint force. Built on a militarized Next-Generation 737 platform, the E-7 delivers lower operating and sustainment costs, higher mission readiness rates, and exceptional interoperability within a growing global user community.
The Associate Contract Management Specialist plays a critical role in supporting the E-7 program, which is essential for maintaining air superiority and operational effectiveness in defense missions. By effectively managing contracts, you will directly contribute to the program's success, ensuring that our aerospace products and services meet the highest standards of quality and compliance. Position Responsibilities:
- Negotiate and Contract: Exercise appropriate signature authority to negotiate and finalize contracts for the sale and support of aerospace products, services, technologies, financing, and licensing of intellectual property, ensuring alignment with company strategies and compliance with regulations
- Business Solutions Presentation: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and present innovative business solutions that enhance customer relationships and drive business growth
- External Negotiations: Engage in negotiations with a diverse set of customers, including government and commercial entities, to secure favorable terms and conditions that support the E-7 program objectives
- Contract Management: Prepare, negotiate, execute, interpret, and administer legally binding contractual agreements, ensuring all contractual obligations are met and documented accurately
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Work closely with internal functional disciplines, such as legal, finance, and engineering, to ensure comprehensive understanding and execution of contract requirements
- Issue Resolution and Risk Mitigation: Identify and summarize contractual issues, facilitating the development of creative solutions and strategies for contractual risk mitigation to protect the interests of The Boeing Company
- Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the continuous improvement of contract management processes and practices, identifying opportunities for efficiency and effectiveness in contract administration
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor's Degree or higher
- Experience using analytical, collaboration, communication and organizational skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Ability to create and manage complex documents, spreadsheets, and presentations
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor's Degree in business administration, Finance, Law, or a related field
- Experience with contract preparation, negotiation, and administration, with a focus on ensuring compliance and achieving favorable outcomes
- Experience in defense contracting, including familiarity with the unique challenges and requirements of government contracts
- Experience with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS)
- Certifications in Contract Management from organizations such as the National Contract Management Agency are desirable
- Ability to use strong interpersonal skills, build relationships and work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
