Provide enterprise-level expertise in establishing and maintaining robust data governance frameworks, policies, and best practices that ensure data quality, stewardship, and compliance across federal systems.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the development of data governance artifacts, frameworks, and operating procedures aligned with federal mandates and agency mission needs.
• Facilitate cross-functional workshops to identify, document, and resolve data governance gaps.
• Design and maintain data catalogs, business glossaries, and data lineage documentation to support enterprise-wide data integration.
• Partner closely with non-technical stakeholders to translate complex data topics into actionable recommendations.
• Deliver guidance on emerging best practices in modern data architectures, including cloud-based data governance tools.
Required Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Management, Data Science, Computer Science, or related field required; Master’s degree strongly preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of five (5) years of recent experience working with enterprise data governance teams developing processes and procedures in complex, federal environments.
• Demonstrated proficiency facilitating workshops and engaging multiple stakeholder groups in a national, matrixed team environment.
• Strong communication skills with proven success in articulating technical data governance concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Relevant certifications such as Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) or similar preferred.
