KBR's Defense and Technology Solutions Business Unit is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented professional to join our team as an Information Technology/Cyber Security Subject Matter Expert to support tasking related to the development, modernization and sustainment of platforms and capabilities for the Naval Aviation Enterprise. Primary tasking will be in direct support to the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), located in Patuxent River, Maryland.

Program Summary:
KBR's Defense and Technology Solutions Business Unit is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented professional to join our team as an Information Technology/Cyber Security Subject Matter Expert to support tasking related to the development, modernization and sustainment of platforms and capabilities for the Naval Aviation Enterprise. Primary tasking will be in direct support to the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), located in Patuxent River, Maryland.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Primary tasking will be on information technology-related projects. These may include one or more of the following: Digital Engineering (DE) Laboratory development, research and support, development of DE products and tools for specific customer-based use cases, Cyber Security, Model Based Systems Engineering, Modeling and Rapid Prototyping, and Live, Virtual and Constructive (LVC) Simulation and Training support.
- Additional duties may include direct program acquisition/test and evaluation support for naval aviation platforms, technical program management, business development, personnel supervisory functions and/or serving as a Senior Technical Advisor to Test and Evaluation Squadron leadership, Program Managers and other key stakeholders on ongoing and emergent technical efforts.
- Key objectives are to apply knowledge of NAVAIR enterprise-level engineering capabilities to support and promote development of products and services to advance, promote, develop and modernize Naval Aviation operating capabilities.
- Most work will be conducted on-site at KBR's Lexington Park, MD facility or alternative government site aboard NAS Patuxent River, MD.
- Occasional domestic travel (up to approximately 15%) may be required in support of customer objectives.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree (Computer Science, Software Engineering or related).
- Minimum of fifteen (15) years of progressively complex experience in Department of Defense aviation/aerospace acquisition programs, including but not limited to engineering, product development, test and evaluation, sustainment or program management.
- Minimum of five (5) years of engineering experience at Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR).
- Experience with development, test and evaluation, modernization and sustainment of military aviation systems, either manned or unmanned, including but not limited to air vehicles, sensors, weapons, and command, control and communication networks.
- Ability to operate independently to effectively satisfy job requirements without direct supervision.
- Effective communication, both oral and written, and to operate in a dynamic and fast-paced team environment.
- Must have an active Top-Secret security clearance.
- Applicant selected will be subject to a ongoing government security investigation and must maintain eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Preferred Skills:
- Master's Degree (Computer Science, Software Engineering or similar)
- Formal training or experience with Cyber Security concepts, architectures, protocols, applications, implementation, analysis, requirements, and system tests such as penetration tests and vulnerability analyses of various security systems and technologies.
- Operational experience with US Navy Airborne Command and Control Systems, Data links, Communication Systems, and Airborne Sensors.
- Experience with military unmanned aviation systems, particularly the MQ-9A, MQ-4C and/or MQ-25.
- Graduation from a U.S. military Test Pilot School full length course.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in airborne test and evaluation of military aircraft and/or installed systems.
- Supervisory engineering experience at Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR).

Compensation:
- 153,120.00 - $229,680.00
