About the Skillbridge Internship Program:

Calvert Systems is proud to be an approved partner under the DoD SkillBridge Program under DoD Instruction 1322.29. The Calvert Systems SkillBridge Internship Program is an opportunity for transitioning military service members to gain valuable, civilian, work experience through an individual internship during their last 6 months of service, for up to 180 days. This program is open to all ranks and experience levels. SkillBridge participants are not eligible for compensation from Calvert Systems, as they continue to receive military compensation and benefits as active-duty service members. During this program the service member will be required to be on-site performing entry to mid-level job duties working a full-time schedule equivalent to 40 hours per week.

SkillBridge Internship Program Goals:

Offer transitioning service members skilled and experienced training that they will be able to use in the civilian workforce. SkillBridge Interns will serve as a pipeline for regular, full-time employment opportunities at Calvert Systems.

SkillBridge Internship Program Objectives:

Service Members completing the Internship program will be introduced to Calvert Systems' Mission, Vision and Values while being fully trained on how we execute to create long-lasting relationships, achieve company growth initiatives, and overall successes for us and our customers.

As a SkillBridge Intern working technical aspects of the ISR Analyst I - Emerging Technologies Intern position you will be responsible for supporting ISR operations by providing subject matter expertise and assisting with process improvement initiatives. Responsibilities include consulting with customers to assess procedures, clarifying objectives, and supporting complex ISR projects. The role involves contributing to planning efforts and applying operational experience to enhance mission outcomes, under the direction of an on-site ISR Analyst.

Who You Are and What You Need:
  • DoD SkillBridge eligibility required
    • Service Member must be within 12 months of separation or retirement
    • Service Member must receive written authorization and approval from the Unit Commander (first O-4/Field Grade commander in chain of command) to participate in DoD SkillBridge Program prior to start of internship
    • Service Member must be in good military standing with expectation to receive an honorable discharge
    • Service Member must have started the TAPS/TGPS program


What You Will Do:
  • Learn the layout of Calvert Systems Engineering and how it interacts with 55th WG, 55th OG, 55th MXG, and 645 AESS.
  • Participate in new employee orientation and meet with current employees supporting RC-135 operations.
  • Observe organizational integration between Calvert Systems and the 55th Wing, 55th OG, 55th Maintenance Group, and 645th AESS.
  • Support and Understand Emerging Technology Initiatives.
  • Gain Knowledge in Electronic Warfare (EW) and Airborne Systems.
  • Interface with Omaha Signals Analysis Lab (OSAL).
  • Develop Acquisition and Programmatic Understanding.
  • Agile Process Integration.
  • Operational Contribution and Analysis.
  • Engagement in Broader Mission Awareness.
  • Refine Emerging Technology Operations Manager Skillset.
