Job Summary
Galapagos Federal Systems LLC is seeking a motivated and well-qualified individual to serve as a Space and Cyber Range Architect (Level 3). This position offers the opportunity to support U.S. Space Force missions alongside a diverse and skilled team.
The selected candidate will provide contractor support as a Space and Cyber Range Architect within the Operational Test and Training Infrastructure (OTTI) Integrated Program Office (IPO), specifically in the Physical and Live Ranges Branch. This role focuses on the technical oversight and integration of space and cyber range capabilities across live and synthetic environments, ensuring interoperability with other operational domains.
Responsibilities include supporting engineering inputs into tests and training range requirements, design reviews, development strategies, and acquisition planning. The candidate will deliver technical solutions that support cyber operations and space-related training environments, while developing procedures, policies, and operational concepts.
The role also involves assessing mission risk, safety, and security, and leading engineering efforts through the acquisition lifecycle to build cyber range capabilities for the U.S. Space Force.
The candidate will be expected to brief senior military leaders on technical and acquisition strategies and play a key role in shaping test and training infrastructure across the Space and Cyberspace Domains.
Skills / Experience
Space and Cyber Range Architect L3 Skill and Experience:
* Active Top-Secret clearance required
* Over 10 years of relevant experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD) initiatives
* Background in military cyber operations (defensive and/or offensive), with an emphasis on test and evaluation or training systems
* Proven experience in designing and implementing cyber solutions across multiple classification levels
* Familiar with U.S. Space Force missions and operational environments
* Strong project management capabilities and demonstrated technical leadership
* Effective communicator, with the ability to engage senior military and industry stakeholders
* In-depth knowledge of the Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF)
* Skilled in facilitating cross-functional collaboration and leading meetings to address contractual issues and operational requirements
* Capable of conducting independent research, evaluations, and complex analyses with minimal oversight
* Thorough understanding of program management principles, with practical implementation experience
* Experience supporting both developmental and operational test environments
* Adept at conveying complex technical concepts in a clear and accessible manner
* Self-starter with the ability to work independently and drive initiatives forward
* Extensive experience working in classified environments and on classified programs
* Action-oriented mindset, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effectively presenting concepts, strategies, and proposals
Education / Certifications
Space and Cyber Range Architect L3 Education and Certifications:
* MS/MA: Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity or related field and/or 10 years of applicable experience
* BS/BA: Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity or related field and/or 15 years of applicable experience
