Description:What You Will Be Doing:
As a Flight Mechanic - Electronic Systems, you'll play a key role in verifying, calibrating, and troubleshooting highly complex electronic and software systems integrated into advanced aircraft. You will:
• Conduct final operational checkouts on newly installed or prototype electronic/software systems to ensure conformance to engineering and customer specifications.
• Perform system adjustments, calibrations, troubleshooting, and rework as needed-both in lab and flight environments.
• Support test and production flights, verifying aircraft system functionality before, during, and after flight, and sign off on flight readiness.
• Determine methods and sequences for testing under conditions where standards and procedures may not yet exist, requiring ingenuity and adaptability.
• Modify or help develop systems based on incomplete designs or evolving requirements, recommending design improvements and changes for approval.
• Collaborate with engineers, vendors, and customer representatives to diagnose and correct design or performance issues.
You may also:
• Develop and adapt custom test equipment.
• Work on associated systems such as radar, radio, pneumatic, hydraulic, and instrumentation as part of integrated flight readiness.
• Disassemble and repair complex components in a lab or flightline setting.

Basic Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
• Must possess a FCC General Radiotelephone Operator License or obtain it within one year of employment (employee expense).
• Ability to perform basic computer operations.
• Proven experience working with electronic and software systems in aerospace or a similar high-stakes environment.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance, as required.
Desired Skills:
• Experience supporting flight test operations or flightline troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with radar, communication, navigation, and mission systems integration.
• Strong understanding of aircraft systems such as pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and instrumentation.
• Ability to work from incomplete documentation and develop test procedures as needed.
• Effective communicator, capable of working cross-functionally with engineers, technicians, and external partners.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Secret with Investigation or CV date within 5 years

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

The base range for this position in California $28.48 - $48.29.
