Position Overview:
We are seeking a results-driven Cloud Engineer to support the design, deployment, and maintenance of cloud-based infrastructure for our Department of Defense (DoD) mission partners.
This position will work closely with DevSecOps, network, and security teams to ensure secure, scalable, and resilient cloud solutions that meet mission objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and implement secure cloud infrastructure using Azure and/or AWS services.
• Automate deployment and configuration tasks using infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability.
• Apply DoD compliance standards, including RMF, STIGs, and FedRAMP.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines to support rapid deployment and integration.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to remediate vulnerabilities and enforce best practices.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and deployment runbooks.
Required Qualifications:
• Active DoD Secret Clearance.
• 3+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure engineering.
• Hands-on experience with IaaS, PaaS, and hybrid environments in Azure or AWS.
• Proficient in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
• Strong understanding of cloud networking, identity management, and monitoring.
• Knowledge of DoD compliance and security frameworks.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Azure Administrator or AWS Solutions Architect certification.
• Experience supporting classified or secure federal cloud environments.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes, container security, and DevSecOps pipelines.
Work Environment & Conditions:
On-site role in Huntsville, Alabama
Some after-hours or on-call support may be required.
Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
