Position Overview
OSAAVA Services is seeking an experienced Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) Engineer to join our team supporting Fortune 500/1000 clients and public sector partners. This role is ideal for someone passionate about cloud-based desktop virtualization, automation, and high-impact customer engagements. You’ll design, deploy, optimize, and maintain modern AVD solutions while collaborating with a skilled team in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.

Responsibilities
Serve as an SME for Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) design, implementation, and support.
Architect and deploy tailored AVD solutions for enterprise and public sector clients.
Perform health assessments of current AVD deployments and recommend optimizations.
Configure and manage virtual desktop environments for scalability and performance.
Use PowerShell scripting to automate deployment, management, and monitoring tasks.
Integrate AVD with Active Directory, Entra ID (Azure AD), and FSLogix.
Troubleshoot system performance and resolve user and infrastructure issues.
Ensure compliance with organizational security standards and industry best practices.
Engage directly with customers to gather requirements and deliver strategic solutions.
Participate in knowledge sharing and continual service improvement using ITSM principles.
Qualifications (Required)
3+ years of hands-on experience designing and implementing AVD environments.
Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11 and virtual desktop infrastructure.
Experience leading cloud VDI implementations in an enterprise setting.
Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and automation workflows.
Deep understanding of Azure networking, identity, and storage components.
Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to lead root cause analysis efforts.
Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Microsoft certifications such as AZ-140 (Configuring and Operating AVD) or AZ-104 (Azure Administrator Associate).
Experience with:
FSLogix
Windows 365 Cloud PC
Remote Desktop Services (RDS)
Familiarity with hybrid Azure AD/Entra ID configurations.
Knowledge of virtual desktop performance tuning and security hardening.
