Description
At Altus Technology Solutions, we are seeking a dependable and customer-focused Computer Support Technician to support the U.S. Attorneys Office District of Minnesota. This individual will be embedded onsite in a federal legal environment, delivering critical IT support to maintain systems availability, security, and user satisfaction.
Start Date:
The position is contingent upon contract award. It is expected to begin on or shortly after September 26, 2025, pending both contract award and security clearance approval. Due to DOJ requirements, the selected candidate cannot begin work until they receive a DOJ background waiver, which may take up to 8+ weeks to process post-selection.

Primary Responsibilities
- Serve as the onsite support technician for IT hardware, software, and network systems.
- Troubleshoot desktop, laptop, mobile, and peripheral issues within DOJ-approved environments.
- Assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of networked systems.
- Perform routine system updates and quality checks to maintain functionality and security.
- Support case management systems and litigation tools critical to daily DOJ operations.
- Convert content into internal web pages and perform link maintenance on intranet platforms.
- Track IT assets, perform inventory updates, and support user training as needed.
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. citizen and have lived in the U.S. for 3 of the past 5 years (per DOJ residency requirement)
- Able to obtain and maintain a DOJ Minimum Background Investigation (MBI)
- Prior experience providing hands-on IT support in a professional setting
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Comfortable working independently and responding to time-sensitive technical issues
Specialized Experience
- Knowledge of operating systems, desktop/laptop imaging, and endpoint security
- Experience supporting Microsoft Windows environments, Office Suite, and Active Directory
- Familiarity with basic networking concepts and web-based applications
- Proven ability to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware/software issues with minimal supervision
