Toyon is seeking an Aerospace Engineer to join a team designing mechanical prototypes of reentry bodies and related configurations. This position requires a strong background in the application of materials to the design of articles subjected to high temperature environments. This individual will play a key role in the development of the design of aerospace vehicles and evaluation of their performance.

The annual pay range for the Aerothermodynamics Analyst position is $115,000 to $185,000.
The posted pay range values provide the candidate with guidance on annual base compensation for the position, at a full time level of effort, exclusive of overtime, bonus, and benefits-related compensation, over a range of qualifications that may fit hiring objectives. - B.S. in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering (M.S. preferred) with emphasis on heat transfer, mechanical design, and structural analysis and 5 years of relevant experience
- Experience with predicting aerothermal heating in supersonic/hypersonic environments, including the response of thermal protection materials to aerothermal environments.
- Experience using a variety of computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and phenomenologically based boundary layer and inviscid flow codes is a strong plus.
