Description

This position is in the Near Eastern Affairs Assistance Coordination (NEA/AC) office at the U.S. Department of State. Candidate shall be responsible for public sector finance and budgeting, funds tracking, budget projections and analysis, and the administration of interagency budgetary agreements and documentation. This individual should have the ability to organize, create, review, and analyze financial documents. Must be able to research and provide technical reports and oral briefings and may also assist in contract management and review, as well as other tasks as assigned.

  • The contractor shall be responsible for public sector finance and budgeting, funds tracking, assisting with budgetary projections, and the administration of interagency agreements and documentation.
  • BAIII should have the ability to enter verified data, organize, review and analyze financial documents, and track incoming funding and outgoing obligations and expenditures via Department of State establish financial systems as well as in Microsoft excel.
  • The contractor shall research and provide technical reports and oral briefings.
  • The contractor shall also assist in contract oversight as relates to cost projections, current and out year funding needs, and review invoices for accuracy in billing against the correct accounts.
  • This position requires a non-disclosure agreement.


Requirements

  • The BA III candidate will be able to demonstrate interpersonal, data management, reporting, writing, strong analytical and organizational skills, as well as attention to detail and the ability to be flexible in a dynamic environment.
  • The candidate should have some knowledge of U.S. Government budget operations, regulations, policies, and Foreign Assistance . The BA III candidate will demonstrate self-motivation, time management skills, and strategic thinking.
  • Candidate will be responsible for various budgeting and program analysis tasks to support Middle East Foreign Assistance programs.
  • Support administrative and program management under the assigned portfolio(s), to include contracts, budget planning and execution of program funds, and out-year financial planning.
  • Financial reconciliation of active and closed out grants and contracts for Foreign Assistance programs and awards.
  • Provide financial reporting and analysis, as needed for NEA/AC program activities
  • Special Projects will be provided via technical direction.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain and Secret clearance
  • US. Citizenship
  • Education: Bachelors with 2 years' experience or 4-5 years of relevant work
