Job Summary:
We are looking for a Data Scientist with an entrepreneur’s mindset to support a fast- team working on operational projects critical to National Security.
Responsibilities Include:
- Automating complex operational and data analysis tasks by developing functional, user-friendly Python scripts.
- Constructing and executing complex search queries across multiple API interfaces and SQL databases.
- Troubleshooting, debugging, and enhancing data extraction, cleaning, and processing pipelines.
- Engaging in full life cycle development, from supporting requirements generation through maintenance including prototyping, building, testing, and delivery.
- Building statistical and machine learning models for automating solutions to complex business challenges.
- Working with a team to define and deliver solutions that create efficiencies and optimize mission performance.
- Leveraging cloud and version control technologies including AWS and Git.
Basic Qualifications:
- Must have a TS/SCI with Polygraph.
- Requires BS and 4 – 8 years of relevant experience or Masters with 2 – 6 years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency with Python is required.
- Ability to effectively collaborate with and learn from others including end users and peer data scientists.
- Experience developing, contributing to, and/or maintaining data-driven software applications.
- Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases and APIs for data extraction.
- Extensive experience in data cleaning, wrangling, and deduplication of large datasets.
- Experience with supervised and unsupervised learning and natural language processing (NLP) techniques.
