Job Summary

The Vehicle Maintenance Instructor will provide specialized maintenance training support for the USMC, transitioning from Marine-led instruction to contract support as the program has matured. This role involves training Marines on maintenance procedures for new amphibious assault equipment and Amphibious Combat Vehicle (ACV) systems.

Specific Responsibilities
  • Conduct vehicle maintenance training for Marines on ACV variants and related systems
  • Provide instruction on maintenance procedures for initial fielding equipment
  • Deliver comprehensive maintenance training programs for ACV systems and components
  • Ensure Marines achieve required maintainer certification standards for specific ACV variants
  • Support the transition from Marine-led to contractor-supported training delivery
  • Maintain training documentation and records per USMC requirements
  • Provide technical expertise on ACV maintenance procedures, troubleshooting, and diagnostics
  • Train Marines on communications suite maintenance for ACV Family of Vehicles (FoVs)

Requirements

Required Qualifications
  • Valid ACV Maintainer certification for specific Amphibious Combat Vehicle variants
  • Communications suite certification for ACV Family of Vehicles (FoVs) preferred
  • Must be physically and mentally capable of successfully completing Marine Corps Water Survival Training Program (MCO 1500.52D)
  • Must be physically and mentally capable of successfully completing Marine Corps Submerged Egress Training (SVET)
  • Extensive experience in military vehicle maintenance (preferably amphibious vehicles)
  • Previous technical instruction or training experience preferred
  • Knowledge of Marine Corps maintenance protocols and standards
  • Security clearance eligibility (minimum Secret)
  • Demonstrated expertise with ACV systems, maintenance procedures, and diagnostics
Physical Requirements and Work Environment
  • Must pass Marine Corps Water Survival Training Program and Submerged Egress Training
  • Ability to work in marine/amphibious training environments
  • Physical demands associated with vehicle maintenance training and operations
  • Work performed in maintenance bays, training facilities, and outdoor environments
Travel
  • Minimal travel between training sites as required
  • Occasional travel for training updates or program meetings
