Support high-level Army research initiatives as a Security Specialist at Fort Eustis, VA. In this role, you will lead the development and execution of a robust security program to safeguard critical Army Science & Technology (S&T) operations. Your expertise will directly support national defense by ensuring security compliance across joint and international R&D environments.

Essential Duties

Security Program Development & Oversight
  • Develop and manage a comprehensive security program in a Research and Development (R&D) environment.
  • Coordinate and support security for Army Science & Technology and related customers.
  • Establish policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs) in coordination with internal and external stakeholders.

Personnel, Physical & Operational Security
  • Process and verify personnel security clearances using DISS and manage in/out processing.
  • Maintain key and lock control, manage visitor access and badging, and oversee secure package handling.
  • Conduct facility security risk assessments and support the implementation of OPSEC programs.

Industrial & Collaborative Security Support
  • Monitor and track all DD254 packets for Industrial Security Officer review.
  • Address security requirements for joint, collaborative, and international R&D programs.
  • Serve as a liaison to communicate DoD security policies, principles, and procedures to leadership and staff.

Additional Responsibilities
  • Support other security-related functions as assigned.

Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, with at least 2 years in a DoD environment.
  • Training and experience in physical or industrial security.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply DoD security policies and procedures.
  • Experience working with DISS and related personnel security systems.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Formal training in physical, industrial, personnel, or communication security.
  • Certification or background as a physical security specialist, military police, or security guard.
  • Experience evaluating investigative reports and applying mitigation standards in accordance with federal guidelines.

Education & Certification
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Required Clearance
  • Active Secret clearance

  • No travel required.
