Description:
You will be the Manufacturing Engineer Sr for the JASSM/LRASM Program. Our team is responsible for supporting production operations across multiple sites and delivering manufacturing solutions.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Manufacturing Engineer Sr, you will:
• Perform in a collaborative environment to develop and implement manufacturing processes, procedures and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, fabrication, and material handling.
• Drive adoption of new technologies and processes (automation, robotics, computer aided manufacturing software, etc.) to achieve greater efficiency, cost reduction and quality improvement
• Candidate will be required to travel approximately 1 week per quarter.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in an engineering/technical discipline (mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, electrical engineering, chemical engineering, etc.)
Experience with manufacturing processes and assembly sequences (circuit card assembly, machining, complex cable routing, final assembly and integration)
Working knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma skills and ability to identify process issues/opportunities and implement cost saving solutions (affordability)
Skilled in interpretation of Engineering specifications and reviewing drawing requirements for manufacturability
Strong ability in written and verbal technical communication skills. The candidate must be able to communicate effectively across multiple levels of the business and remote collaboration
Desired Skills:
Candidate should have a good understanding and demonstrated application of technical and problem solving skills in the area of manufacturing and production
Knowledge of Missile Manufacturing and familiarity with MFC Troy Operations
Experience with development programs
Experience in applying automation solutions. Candidates with robotics/automation specialization will have experience and skills in Programmable Logic Controller (PLC), Human Machine Interface (HMI), and robotic automation
Working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)
Experience in effective team leadership in planning and execution of Process Improvements and technical solutions
Knowledge of MFC systems such as SAP, Apriso, etc. for producing hardware
Experience with CREO/Pro-E/Catia and Model Based Engineering
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
