Responsibilities:
Analyze OEM documentation, schematics, and unit-under-test (UUT) behavior to determine necessary test procedures; employ engineering judgment when documentation is incomplete.
Design physical interfaces, creating electrical schematics, wire lists, and bills of materials to connect test systems to UUT inputs/outputs.
Implement required testing by configuring test systems, applying signals, and verifying UUT outputs against expected results.
Develop and refine test software using object-oriented programming, primarily leveraging APIs for UUT stimulation and measurement.
Troubleshoot and pinpoint failures during both development phases and field-reported incidents.
Participate in lifecycle DevOps practices, maintaining meticulous revision control for software and documentation.
Conduct comprehensive software validation and verification.
Engage directly with customers and occasionally travel to support projects.
Collaborate effectively within teams while independently meeting critical project milestones.
Qualifications:
Extensive understanding of software-defined architectures, particularly object-oriented design.
Proficient in software development using C#.
Demonstrated skill in object-oriented design principles.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, including experience in root cause analysis.
Experience with test and measurement equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and signal generators.
Fundamental understanding of RF systems and associated measurements.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Must qualify as a U.S. Person (citizen or permanent resident).
Desired Qualifications:
Previous experience in logistics or maintenance of tactical or airborne radio systems.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related discipline with a computer science emphasis.
Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience, or equivalent.
Computer Skills:
Advanced proficiency in software languages, particularly C, C++, and C#.
Competent in Microsoft Office Suite.
