Job Description

As a Elite Security Guard - Armed Retail Patrol in San Antonio, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more .

As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure environment within a dynamic retail location. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter unwanted activity, and responding promptly to incidents as they arise. This is an armed and driving post, requiring you to be prepared and qualified to carry a firearm and operate a vehicle as part of your daily duties. You will interact with the public and store personnel, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication while upholding the values of Allied Universal. What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and other key areas within the retail environment to help to deter theft, vandalism, and/or other unwanted behaviors.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential disturbances and provide reassurance to employees and customers.
• Document and report any security-related incidents, observations, or concerns according to Allied Universal protocols.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency responders as needed during critical situations.
• Carry and maintain control of assigned firearms and related equipment in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific policies.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or possess a college degree or 5+ years Armed security experience.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must possess a Level III armed certification for Texas roles.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• A valid driver's license is required and must meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements for driving positions only.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
