Selected by the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center's Strategic Warning and Surveillance Systems Division for Operations, Maintenance, and Sustainment (OM&S) of critical mission systems for the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) Cheyenne Mountain Complex (NCMC), we support the Integrated Tactical Warning/Attack Assessment (ITW/AA) and Space Support Contract II (NISSC II).
Since 2020, through the (ITW/AA) and Space Support Contract II (NISSC II), has provided:
• Operations, maintenance, and Sustainment of current and legacy systems for the surveillance and cataloging of manmade objects in space.
• Mitigation of orbital conflicts.
• Threat warnings and control from airborne, land-based, and space-based systems for threat activities.
• Operations and maintenance of classified communications.
• Software development and integration.
NISSC II supports the classified communications and processing for Command and Control (C2) capability and legacy space C2 systems located at:
• Cheyenne Mountain Space Force Station (CMSFS), Colorado
• Peterson Space Force Base (PSFB), Colorado
• Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraska
• Vandenberg Space Force Base, California
• Numerous sensor and forward operator sites around the world
Description of Duties:
The Mission Assurance Center (MAC) Lead supports North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) on the Integrated Tactical Warning/Attack Assessment (ITW/AA) and Space Support Contract II (NISSC II). The candidate will:
• Provide crew mission support at operations centers
• Execute prescribed information circuit actions
• Administer training and one-on-one assistance for operational users
• Execute help desk functions
• Replace Line Replaceable Units and perform other O-level maintenance
• Perform system administration tasks in accordance with technical manuals and established procedures
• Manage user and group accounts, profiles and policies
• Minimize, and appropriately address when required, service issues and disruptions
• Report readiness, status and incidents in accordance with established procedure
• Manage the talent, capacity and capability levels at each of the MACs.
• Establish program control processes to ensure mitigation of risks
• Manage the training and certification of the MAC personnel
• Advocate for MAC personnel as appropriate
• Personally assist with performance functions in the case of an emergent need
• Liaise with customers to ensure mission accomplishment and customer satisfaction
• Assess and validate established security requirements and recommend additional security requirements and safeguards as/if required.
The MAC Lead supervises, mentors, trains, travels to and represents the members and functions of MACs and associated installations in Colorado Springs, Offutt AFB in Nebraska, Vandenberg SFB in California, and the national capital region. Oversees Tier 1 network administration; Monitors and administers NORAD attack warning, space cataloging, and laser deconfliction systems; Provides crew mission support at operations centers; Executes prescribed information circuit actions; Administers training and one-on-one assistance for operational users; Executes help desk functions; Replaces Line Replaceable Units and perform other O-level maintenance; Performs system administration tasks in accordance with technical manuals and established procedures; Manages user and group accounts, profiles and policies; Minimizes, and appropriately address, service issues, and disruptions; Reports readiness, status and incidents in accordance with established procedures.
This position will be filled and work onsite at Amentum's Downtown Colorado Springs Facility and Cheyenne Mountain Space Force Station (CMSFS), Colorado

Basic Requirements:
• Must have 10 or more years of general experience
• Must have 6 years directly related experience
• Must Have Tier 1 network administration experience.
• Must have experience implementing program control processes to ensure the mitigation of risks
• Must have experience with space cataloging, and laser deconfliction systems
• Must have experience executing prescribed information circuit actions
• Must have experience administering training and one-on-one assistance for operational users
• Must have experience executing help desk functions
• Must have experience assessing and validating established security requirements
• Must have an active DoD Top Secret w/ SCI Eligibility
• Must have DoD IAT Level II, or higher, certification (Security (CE)).
Desired Requirements:
• Experience in the performance of system administration tasks in accordance with technical manuals and established procedures
This position is expected to pay $150,000 - $185,000 annually; depending on experience, education, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.
