Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $74508 - $119213
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.

BAE Systems is looking for a Quality Technician/Source Inspector to join the Final Customer Acceptance team at the Austin, Texas facility. The Quality Technician/Source Inspector:
- Performs the final inspection on behalf of the customer of finished products and corresponding documentation from manufacturing to ensure compliance to customer, regulatory and BAE Systems requirements, prior to shipment or customer acceptance source inspections. The individual is expected to acquire multiple Customer End Item Acceptance (EIA) approvals as needed to act on behalf of the customer.
- Uses predetermined methods, operations, inspection instructions and checklists, setups and prescribed specifications to visually inspect completed products such as electronic systems and subsystems, precision electromechanical assemblies and subassemblies, mechanical parts and raw materials for nonconformances.
- Initiates nonconformance records and coordinates with project teams to evaluate suspect and confirmed nonconformances for appropriate disposition.
- Monitors and verifies quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures. Tabulates Key Performance metrics to report to the leadership team.
- Assists project teams in tailoring contractual requirements flow down in accordance with company procedures, methods, templates and tools. Manages creation and execution of Contract Requirements Sheet (CRS) and Quality Flow Downs to internal stakeholders.
- Supports effective root cause analysis, corrective, and preventative actions utilizing analytical capabilities and communications skills. Manages Government nonconformance reports and subsequent investigations.
- Establishes verification and validation processes for the inspection and acceptance of hardware.
- Manages the maintenance and retention of all manufacturing quality records in accordance with customer, regulatory and BAE Systems requirements.
- Coordinates and facilitates Customer and Government Source Inspections when required per contractual specifications. Engages in customer interactions and discussions during these Source Inspections.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- Typically a High School diploma or GED with 3-4+ years of direct related experience or equivalent experience.
- Proven track record of employing customer-first strategy in achieving objectives.
- Demonstrated composure under fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and amongst dynamic, cross-functional teams.
- Strong communication skills (both oral and written) and interpersonal skills.
- Experience working, interfacing and interrelating with diverse personnel, both operational and technical.
- Experience working, interfacing and interrelating directly with the Customer.
- Must exhibit initiative, flexibility, and leadership skills necessary to collaboratively prioritize and adapt daily schedule to best support business critical needs.
- Proficiency with MS Office products including Word, PowerPoint, & Excel.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- Experience in ISO 9001 / AS9100 / AS9102
- Experience in AS9145 / APQP
- Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC)
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Environments
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt and Experience
