General Function:
- Coordinate with internal and external organizations (e.g., facilities, security, public affairs) to support continuous engineering operations.
- Support acquisition, development, and sustainment of weapons systems and subsystems, ensuring OSS&E compliance.
- Review and maintain system baselines, ECPs, RFVs, and participate in CCBs, technical reviews, and reliability analyses.
- Conduct lifecycle systems engineering activities including alternatives analysis, investment strategies, and end-of-life planning.
- Translate user requirements into system specifications, and support design architecture and interoperability assessments.
- Review and analyze technical proposals, specifications, and ICDs; support design reviews and technical meetings.
- Assist in requirements development, including mission analysis, technology needs, and trade-off studies.
- Participate in developmental planning and define military mission scenarios and requirements for system design.
- Evaluate change proposals, policy modifications, and conduct configuration audits and feasibility studies.
- Support development and evaluation of engineering schedules and cost estimates, including IMP, IMS, and SEDS.
- Provide integration support for system and subsystem acquisition, development, and verification.
- Perform lifecycle engineering trade studies (cost, performance, reliability, supportability, etc.).
- Engage with management and engineering boards to resolve technical program issues and implement decisions.
- Evaluate engineering documentation (plans, estimates, SOWs, specifications) for completeness and compliance.
- Assist in development and review of program documentation, risk assessments, and participate in technical testing.
- Provide broad technical planning expertise across training systems development, CONUS/OCONUS site planning, and system validation.
- Support feasibility evaluations of new technologies, technical risks, trends, and engineering change proposals.
- Assist in the creation and management of security-related documentation (SCGs, PSDs, PPPs) and facility security plans.
- Provide system protection through threat identification, CPI reviews, SCRM, vulnerability analyses, and risk-based security planning.
- Support systems integration, digital engineering, airworthiness certification, and BIT/FRACAS data analysis across hardware/software systems.
Qualifications:
Education/Certifications/Experience/Skills:
- MA/MS Degree with 10 years of directly related experience or BA/BS with 12 years of directly related experience or 15 years of directly related experience to this discipline.
- Must possess and maintain a government security clearance at the Secret Level.
- Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Applications and other standard applications.
