Salary: $100,000-$135,000 (depending on experience)

Overview:
We are seeking a Junior DevSecOps Engineer to support the design and implementation of secure Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) solutions in air-gapped, on-premises environments. The role will focus on enabling software teams to build and deploy conventional and cloud-native applications efficiently and securely. The ideal candidate will have a passion for infrastructure automation, containerization, and DevSecOps best practices.

We are seeking a Junior DevSecOps Engineer to support the design and implementation of secure Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) solutions in air-gapped, on-premises environments. The ideal candidate will have a passion for infrastructure automation, containerization, and DevSecOps best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design git-based CI/CD pipelines for conventional and containerized applications
- Integrate automated unit testing, SAST, DAST, and vulnerability scans into pipelines
- Deploy custom air-gapped Kubernetes clusters on VMware ESXi systems using DOD-approved Iron Bank containers
- Shift software build components into Kubernetes clusters
- Elevate organizational proficiency in DevSecOps, CI/CD, Agile, and containerization
- Automate infrastructure deployments using Ansible and Terraform
- Serve as an Agile Scrum product owner; delegate tasks and mentor junior engineers
- Create technical documentation, user guides, and process flows for stakeholders
Required Skills
Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of relevant experience
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure)
- Software development experience with Java, Spring, JBoss, Python, JavaScript, Node.js, and/or Angular
- Infrastructure and configuration automation using Packer, Terraform, and Ansible
- Familiarity with microservices (REST, JMS, AMQP)
- Proficiency with Linux and scripting (Bash and Python)
- Proven ability to work within high-performing, multi-project teams
- Strong communication skills (oral and written)
- Hands-on experience with Jenkins and building CI/CD pipelines
- Development experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and Helm
- Passion for DevSecOps and secure automation practices

- DISA Iron Bank and RMF compliance
- Kubernetes provisioning in air-gapped networks
- Istio, kube-vip, MetalLB, ArgoCD, cert-manager, NGINX
- VMware vSphere administration
- Hardening systems to DISA standards
