Description
Markon is seeking an experienced, results oriented IT Project Manager to join our team in the Bethesda, Maryland area. You will play a critical role in shaping our client's IT enterprise architecture by managing a process for creating technical IT standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and management of IT technical standards, ensuring accuracy and alignment with best practices
- Drive the IT standards process using technical project management methodologies to deliver high-quality, timely outcomes
- Promote innovation and continuous improvement across the IT standards function
- Set a strong example of technical excellence and professionalism
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to update and maintain the IT standards framework
- Facilitate teamwork and knowledge-sharing across technical and business groups
Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI clearance with CI polygraph
- Bachelor's degree with 12-15 years (or Master's with 10-13 years) of relevant experience, including 3+ years in IT project management
- Proven experience delivering complex projects as a project manager
Preferred:
- Experience managing software development teams and working in or with the Intelligence Community (3+ years)
- Strong understanding of data management and long-term project planning
- Master's degree in a related field
- Proactive, mission-driven mindset with ability to take initiative and lead
- Skilled in Microsoft Office tools; confident briefing leadership and peers
