Job Summary
Galapagos Federal Systems LLC is seeking a highly qualified and enthusiastic individual to serve as the Acquisition and Program Management Liaison L3 - USSPACECOM. This position offers the opportunity to join a dynamic team of professionals dedicated to advancing national security through innovation and operational excellence.
The selected candidate will serve as the primary interface between U.S. Space Command (USSPACECOM) and the Space Rapid Capabilities Office (SpRCO). This role is embedded within the SpRCO Operations Transition Division, which is responsible for facilitating the seamless transition of SpRCO-developed capabilities into operational use. The liaison will work directly with the J8 Directorate at USSPACECOM, with access to unclassified and classified IT systems and office space provided by HQ USSPACECOM/J8.
This role requires strong coordination and communication skills to manage and optimize engagement between program teams and the operational test and evaluation (OT&E) enterprise. The A&AS professional will support both SpRCO and USSPACECOM leadership by aligning program development with operational requirements, streamlining transition planning, and enhancing interagency collaboration.
The ideal candidate will be proactive, mission-driven, and capable of independently supporting complex acquisition and transition activities in a classified environment.
Skills / Experience
Acquisition and Program Management Liaison L3 Skills and Experience:
* Active Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
* 10-12 years of experience in Space Operations or Space Acquisition
* Minimum of 10 years of relevant DoD experience, including at least 4 years in a SAP and/or SCI environment
* Willingness to consent to and successfully complete a Government Counterintelligence Scope Polygraph, if required
* Serve as the principal interface between the Space Rapid Capabilities Office (SpRCO) and U.S. Space Command (USSPACECOM)
* Support the Operations Transition Division in facilitating the successful transition of SpRCO programs into operational use
* Facilitate activities at USSPACECOM directed by the Space Rapid Capabilities Working Group (SpRCOWG), including, Basing, Manpower, CONOPS and concept document development, Training, Test & Evaluation, and Security
* Develop, articulate, and advocate USSPACECOM operational requirements within SpRCO programs
* Participate in key staff meetings at HQ USSPACECOM and SpRCO
* Produce and deliver monthly status reports on ongoing and upcoming activities
* Coordinate with USSPACECOM/J8 Requirements Leads assigned to SpRCO programs to ensure adequate support
* Interact with USSPACECOM leadership to provide updates and facilitate support requests
* Offer strategic recommendations to senior leadership to enhance mission success
Education / Certifications
Acquisition and Program Management Liaison L3 Education and Certifications:
* Master's degree (MA/MS/ME)
* Relevant work experience/training certifications may be considered in lieu of a degree
* Defense Acquisition University (DAU) Requirements Management (Level A & B) Certification desired
* PMP Certification preferred
