Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced IP Network Tools Engineer to join our dynamic team supporting complex, mission-critical systems. This role is pivotal in automating key engineering functions across the software development lifecycle, including requirements management, configuration control, and lifecycle traceability. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a hands-on mindset who thrives in cross-functional environments and excels at delivering robust automation solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Automation Development & Integration
Design, implement, and maintain automated solutions for:
Requirements gathering and traceability
Change and configuration management
Defect tracking, testing, and modeling
Incident and problem management
Knowledge management and architectural documentation
Ensure tools integrate with source documents and architectural artifacts to enable seamless traceability throughout the product lifecycle.
Solution Engineering
Analyze project requirements and infrastructure needs to engineer optimized toolchains and processes.
Identify and propose the most effective tools or custom solutions to support automation and productivity.
Collaboration & Support
Partner with multidisciplinary teams to understand project constraints and tool interoperability.
Work alongside system administrators, software engineers, and configuration management teams to deploy scalable, secure, and maintainable tool environments.
Governance & Compliance
Ensure all tooling solutions align with approved processes and project-specific governance frameworks.
Maintain up-to-date documentation for tool configurations, integrations, and workflows.
Required Qualifications
Experience:
Fourteen (14) years of combined experience in roles such as Software Engineer, Systems Engineer, System Administrator, or Configuration Management Engineer.
A minimum of eight (8) years of direct experience as a Tools Engineer on programs or contracts with similar scope, type, and complexity.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field).
