Northrop Grumman is seeking a Principal Program Planning and Scheduling Analyst. This position can be located in Huntsville, Alabama or Roy, Utah and supports the Strategic Deterrent Systems Division (SDS) Sentinel program. The qualified applicant will become a part of the SDS Chief Information and Digital Office, an organization of highly skilled and diverse individuals responsible for providing information technology solutions and services across Northrop Grumman, and driving superior business performance through a robust, secure, cost-effective IT infrastructure which enables collaboration and strategic business partnering to foster innovation and technology.
The selected candidate will serve as Principal Program Planning & Scheduling Analyst and will support CIDO Program Managers and Project Managers with developing project schedules. The selected candidate will manage all scheduling and change management for the assigned projects, while also being responsible for any optimization or other remediation work assigned by management.

Salary Range: $86,600.00 - $130,000.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.

Responsibilities include:
- Develop and maintain the master project schedule, ensuring alignment with project objectives and timelines.
- Collaborate with project managers to construct detailed project schedules using Microsoft Project.
- Monitor schedule progress and adjust as necessary to meet deadlines and resource availability.
- Create and implement project plans that outline scope, deliverables, timelines, and resource allocations.
- Work with project teams to identify resource requirements and ensure availability for project tasks
- Identify potential schedule risks and issues, and develop mitigation strategies
- Collaborate with project managers to address schedule-related challenges promptly
- Generate and distribute regular status reports on schedule progress, highlighting key milestones and any variances
Basic Qualifications:
- Must have a bachelor's degree AND 5 years of related professional work experience OR a master's degree AND 3 years of related professional work experience.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Project is essential
- Must have current PMI PMP Certification
- Candidates must have the ability to obtain a Secret level clearance as well as the ability to transfer and maintain the final adjudicated government secret clearance, and any program access(es) required for the position within a reasonable period, as determined by the company.
Preferred Qualifications
- Current program access and familiarity with the Sentinel Program
- Knowledge of ServiceNow Project Portfolio Management (PPM) is preferred
- Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) techniques and methodologies
- Master of Business Administration (MBA), or advanced Project Management (PM) Degree/Certifications
- Prior experience coordinating across multiple disciplines and large teams
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
