This is an opportunity to work on the Simulation and Systems Labs (SSL) Systems Engineering
team. SSLT is a highly innovative team
responsible for developing, testing and
maintaining aircraft simulation systems and
subsystems utilized for aircraft capability
integration and weapons systems development
from concept design through production and
delivery.
As a Software Engineer on our team, you will work on multiple Air Mobility and Maritime Missions (AMMM)
projects, designing and developing software models in a simulation environment. Your primary responsibilities will include:
• Utilizing standard engineering practices to develop models for complex software systems and applications
• Collaborating within a cross-functional team, including systems engineering, operations engineering, hardware engineering, and project leadership to facilitate in technical discussions and estimates
• Deriving and applying knowledge of various avionics, navigation, and communication Interface Control Documents
• Developing modern Graphical User Interfaces (GUIs) to integrate into simulation environments, providing an intuitive and user-friendly experience for operators and users
• Developing innovative solutions to integrate components that have not been previously used together, often requiring outside-the-box thinking
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in STEM/technical discipline or equivalent technical experience/combined education
• Simulation and model software development experience
• Experience developing software in Ada, C++, and Python
Desired Skills:
• Familiarity with digital bus architectures
• Experience developing software in Java
• Gitlab
• Experience with Jenkins
• Experience with SW Test Pipelines
• Avionics Background
• Linux OS Experience

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
