Overview:
We are seeking a Geospatial Engineer to support our government customer by applying advanced image processing techniques to enhance geospatial imagery. This role involves repurposing and void-filling geospatial images using Python and various algorithms to ensure high-quality data for mission-critical applications.
Key Responsibilities:
• Apply image processing techniques to repurpose and enhance geospatial imagery.
• Develop and implement algorithms to void-fill incomplete image datasets.
• Utilize Python and geospatial libraries to process and analyze imagery data.
• Collaborate with analysts and developers to refine and optimize image processing workflows.
• Work in a hybrid environment, balancing on-site and remote support as needed.
Required Qualifications:
• Experience with geospatial image processing techniques.
• Proficiency in Python and relevant libraries (e.g., GDAL, OpenCV, NumPy, Rasterio).
• Strong understanding of image enhancement, void filling, and algorithm development.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work environment.
• Active Top Secret clearance (TS/SCI preferred)
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience working with government or defense-related geospatial projects.
• Familiarity with remote sensing data and GIS platforms (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS).
• Knowledge of machine learning techniques for image analysis.
