Square Peg Technologies is hiring a Data Analyst & Engineer to support the National Park Service (NPS) with enterprise data management and geospatial systems at their National Information Services Center (NISC) in Lakewood, CO. This role supports data governance efforts through data pipeline development, software maintenance, database engineering, and collaboration with NPS stakeholders to ensure reliable, scalable data systems and services.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain data pipelines, schemas, and migration plans
Write SQL and Python code for relational databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL)
Support enterprise geospatial systems and spatial data management
Implement and document data quality rules, metadata, and validation processes
Collaborate with NPS teams on system design, troubleshooting, and improvement
Automate and optimize data workflows and infrastructure
Qualifications:
BA/BS degree + 2 years of data analysis/engineering experience
Proficient in SQL, Python, and data migration tools (e.g., SSIS, ArcGIS)
Experience with geospatial data
Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
