GVI Inc. , a subsidiary of Three Saints Bay, LLC, and a Federal Government Contractor industry leader, is seeking a System Lead to join our Team in Keyport, Washington.

Overall Role Summary:

As a Senior System Lead, this role oversees the comprehensive management, sustainment, and technical integrity of 3-7 major combat systems/subsystems, encompassing multiple diverse platforms. Responsibilities include leading cross-organizational efforts, driving proactive obsolescence management through Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS) processes, ensuring robust data and case management, and delivering timely and accurate system status, readiness assessments, and mitigation strategies to program sponsors and stakeholders.

Position Responsibilities:

As Senior System Lead, provide oversight to multiple contractor Combat System Leads, tracking, monitoring and auditing their efforts to mitigate and resolve critical DMSMS issues,

This includes:
  • Major Combat System Management & Oversight: Directs and coordinates all aspects of system lifecycle management, including major DMSMS processes and project tasking, across the portfolio of 3-7 major combat systems. This includes activities such as conducting comprehensive supportability assessments.
  • Comprehensive DMSMS Case Management: Leads all facets of DMSMS case management for the assigned major combat systems. This involves issue verification/validation, in-depth research, case initiation (managing a significant volume of cases, including in systems like OMIS™), providing technical support, developing and implementing mitigation strategies, ensuring case consistency, coordinating internal/external efforts, tracking metrics, developing support products, maintaining quality, and generating Case Notification Reports as required.
  • Proactive Alert Management (RC2): Manages system alerts related to the major combat systems, including verification, validation, research, and case initiation to preemptively address potential issues impacting system readiness.
  • Strategic Reporting & Analysis for Major Systems:
    • Develops and delivers key strategic reports, including Monthly Status Reports and annual Forecasting Reports (Predictions) to provide insights into system status, progress, and potential issues for the 3-7 major combat systems.
    • Plans, prepares, conducts, and provides post-meeting reports for critical reviews and meetings, including those supporting DMT Meetings and Program Reviews.
    • Develops, reviews, and catalogs Vendor Status Reports (VSR) and other analyses to support technology refresh initiatives and sustainment strategies for the assigned major systems.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Coordination: Serves as the primary interface for the 3-7 major combat systems, coordinating cross-organizational DMSMS Management Teams (DMTs) and associated Working Groups. This includes representing program interests and accountability to Program Sponsors and DMT Stakeholders through activities like Customer Visits, Ad Hoc Working Groups, Quarterly Quad Working Groups, etc.
  • Data & Configuration Management for Major Systems: Oversees comprehensive data management for the 3-7 major combat systems, ensuring Bill of Materials (BOM) integrity, system data accuracy, proper structure/configuration, alert reconciliation, and overall product quality. This includes the formal review of CDRLs for BOMs, as well as ongoing management of data quality and configuration across the systems. Manages responses to Data Calls (simple, non-case related).
  • Obsolescence Management & Mitigation: Develops, implements, and refines methodologies to proactively identify, track, and report obsolescence issues and cases specifically for the 3-7 major combat systems. This involves detailed parts research, analysis, and development of mitigation strategies, reflected in DMSMS Plans and DMSMS Charters. Provides complex Technical Assistance as required.

Position Requirements:

Mandatory Qualifications:

• Demonstrated significant experience (typically 5+ years) in system lifecycle management, integrated logistics support (ILS), sustainment operations, or program/project management, specifically for major combat systems or similarly complex defense/aerospace platforms.

• Within this experience, must possess specialized expertise in Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS) management at least one (1) year of direct experience in data management aspects of system sustainment and obsolescence.

• Must successfully complete the System Manager Qualification Card within one year of assignment.

Demonstrated Capabilities & Standards:
  • Proven ability to meet stringent quality and timeliness standards.
  • Acceptable Quality Level (AQL): All evaluations, assessments, updates, and reports will be provided on time, with 99% accuracy at initial submittal and 100% accuracy at final submittal.

Travel:
  • CONUS: To meet customer requirements.


Compensation: $46.21/hr H&W $4.93/hr
