Position Overview
Quantum Science Solutions (QSS) is seeking a Multi-Cloud Engineer to support enterprise cloud integration, secure infrastructure modernization, and mission-focused IT transformation for a U.S. Government customer. This role requires hands-on leadership in cloud strategy, technical architecture, cybersecurity, and Agile delivery.
The selected candidate will drive system integration initiatives, lead cloud-based infrastructure deployments, and collaborate across technical teams to enhance secure cloud capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead program management and systems integration efforts to deliver complex IT capabilities across multi-cloud environments.
• Facilitate and participate in technical exchange meetings, Scrum sessions, and strategic planning activities.
• Develop program schedules, track milestones, and manage meeting artifacts including action items and minutes.
• Prepare comprehensive program plans, budget spend reports, and technical documentation.
• Analyze business applications and translate functional requirements into technical solutions.
• Present technical proposals to engineering review boards and lead technical briefings to stakeholders.
• Evaluate and select appropriate cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.) based on program requirements.
• Design, develop, and maintain secure cloud and hybrid network architectures.
• Build and configure current-generation servers and workstations; perform hardware/software setup and patch management.
• Provide full-spectrum cyber defense support to protect IT assets from evolving threats.
• Lead the development and sustainment of enterprise cybersecurity architecture, infrastructure, policies, and system authorizations.
• Oversee Agile teams, applying Scrum best practices to deliver high-quality IT products.
• Create user manuals, training materials, installation guides, and troubleshooting documentation.
• Communicate technical information clearly across multiple levels, including senior leadership.
Mandatory Skills & Experience
• Proven success managing IT programs and delivering integrated solutions across cloud and on-premise environments.
• Strong background in preparing technical plans, spend reports, and engineering documentation.
• Experience evaluating and implementing secure cloud strategies and service models.
• Demonstrated ability to translate business needs into actionable IT and cybersecurity requirements.
• Deep expertise in modern cloud environments, network architecture, and systems integration.
• Proficiency in leading Agile/Scrum teams to support iterative delivery cycles.
• Effective communicator with experience briefing stakeholders and writing technical documents.
• Skilled in enterprise security architecture and managing secure data flows.
Education Requirement
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Preferred Skills
• Experience assessing network requirements and recommending performance-optimized solutions.
• Familiarity with coordinating enterprise roadmaps, architectural planning, and solution integration.
• Skilled in project planning, risk mitigation, schedule development, and contingency strategies.
• Experience presenting enterprise IT capabilities and roadmaps to customers and leadership.
• Advanced knowledge of multi-cloud services, infrastructure, and security.
Preferred Certifications
• Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
• Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP)
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
