The Alaka`ina Foundation Family of Companies (FOCs) is looking for a Software Test Engineer - Journeyman to provide support for our government customer in Orlando, Florida or remote .
DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
REQUIRED DEGREE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:
B.S. in an engineering discipline or computer science.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Approximately three (3) or more years of experience with simulation test & evaluation, software test & evaluation, or software development.

DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plan, coordinate, develop, and execute software tests to identify software problems and their causes.
- Test software products to prepare for government acceptance.
- Document software and application defects using a bug tracking system and report defects to software or web developers. Write test reports and review test articles & deliverables.
- Create and maintain databases of known defects.
- Participate in working group meetings and integrated product team (IPT) meetings to provide status on test activities, coordinate test participation and schedules across teams, discuss and resolve test-related issues.
- Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
REQUIRED DEGREE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:
B.S. in an engineering discipline or computer science.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Approximately three (3) or more years of experience with simulation test & evaluation, software test & evaluation, or software development.
REQUIRED CITIZENSHIP AND CLEARANCE:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Must have an active Secret clearance.
