Communications Technician

Atlas Technologies, a rapidly expanding company supporting the US Military and other Government entities, is seeking a passionate, flexible, highly motivated team player to join our group of Information Technology professionals. We are looking for a Communications Technician to join our team in Patuxent River, MD.

You Will:

• Provide RF COMM subsystem technical support to build, integrate, verification/validation of TacMobile COMM upgrades
• Provide RF COMM subsystem technical efforts for documentation support, i.e. IRD, IDP, SOVT, FIT, PITCO
• Provide RF COMM technical support for assembling COMM related sub systems i.e. Link-11, Link-16, UHF voice, SAT voice, HF, voice, CDL, SHF, MT32, HF ACAS and HF Data circuits
• Provide Configuration Management (CM) support using Rational Jazz Team Server to ensure subsystem defects and Change Request, Test Reports, Analysis of Alternatives, Recommended COAs are up to date

You Have:

• U.S. Citizenship
• An active security clearance at the Top-Secret Level
• 4 years' experience with COMM related sub systems to include SHF, UHF, and HF.
• Technical knowledge supporting the COMM builds, integrating and testing the COMM sub systems mentioned above
• The ability to follow detailed build instructions to assemble transit cases and COMM sub systems
• A detailed oriented work ethic, and the ability to follow written procedures and provide timely feedback to the RF COMM lead in order to meet program schedules.

Education Requirements:

• High School diploma or GED
• Formal electronics training from: Technical School, or Class A or B military school in electronics or communications, or four (4) year electronics apprentice program. Or Formal electronics training, to include Installation Tasks, Soldering, Cable Dressing, Cable Tray, Conduit, and Making/Repairing Connectors, Electronics Repair, Maintenance, Installation and Checkout
