Amentum is seeking a Supply Chain Planning & Procurement Manager in Springfield, VA.
This is a temporary, full-time position, lasting through August 1, 2025.
You have excellent communication, time management, and detail-oriented skills, which you'll use overseeing and managing equipment for nearly 250 sites worldwide and managing the daily operation and administration of the warehouse facility. You will connect with our customers and team members domestically and overseas via email or Microsoft Teams to coordinate shipping and project status updates. Also, you will improve efficiency in the planning, managing, controlling, directing, and coordinating the overall activities of other personnel and logistical support to refine industrial work processes.

Responsibilities:
- Leads the Logistics Support team (IT Asset Management Specialists & Buyers) in supporting the customer's procurement requirements.
- Works with internal customers, suppliers, external customers and program business leadership as needed to meet goals and communicate performance.
- Coordinates with procurement specialists, project managers, and vendors to ensure timely processing and tracking of documents and final delivery of product as they move through the acquisition process. Incorporates changes into existing documentation. Maintains contract files for procurement requests, funding documents, formal orders and contracts, and all official correspondence.
- Coordinates with different DoS locations to forecast yearly requirements.
- Analyze all available data to improve requirements gathering, understanding of pricing, and purchasing decisions.
- Performs strategic planning on acquisition approaches, especially for complex and first-time procurements. Participates in the structuring of RFPs of technology procurements and develops RFP and contract documentation.
- Develops the requisite planning and justification documentation for approval of procurements and supports and defends the procurement to approval authorities.
- Assists with asset management duties like annual inventory procedures for associated offices. Includes supporting internal 'office' asset management processes, hand receipts, and tracking of items. Also assists with warehouse asset management procedures and related work.

Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree, and at least 8 years of experience in logistics, procurement, and/or supply chain management
- Or an Associates degree, and at least 10 years of logistics experience, 8 of which are in logistics, procurement, and/or supply chain management
- Or a High School diploma/GED, and at least 12 years of warehouse / logistics experience, 8 of which are in logistics, procurement, and/or supply chain management
- Must have an Active Secret US Government Clearance, with the ability to obtain a Top Secret Clearance post-hire. Note: US Citizenship is required to maintain a Secret Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Association for Supply Chain Management (APICS) Certified Supply Chain Certification (CSCP)
