Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Network Engineer. In this role, you'll be instrumental in developing and maintaining cutting-edge communication networks to support a DOD Air Force Program. This position is fully on-site in Hampton, VA and has a Top Secret Level Clearance.

Responsibilities of the Network Engineer include:
- Design and develop voice, video, radio frequency, and data communications networks to support mission-critical operations.
- Identify, analyze, and resolve complex network issues to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Provide technical guidance, training, and mentorship to team members and less-experienced engineers.
- Define network specifications, input/output processes, and hardware/software compatibility parameters.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging technologies and best practices in network engineering.
- Support Data Center operations and virtualization initiatives with a focus on scalability and efficiency.
- Implement and manage network automation techniques to streamline operations and reduce manual tasks.
- Participate in special projects and initiatives related to advanced command and control systems.
- Ensure compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) standards and security requirements.
Qualifications for the Network Engineer include:
- Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in a relevant field.
- 20+ years of experience in network engineering roles.
- Active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility .
- CCNA certification required.
- Meets DoD 8750 requirements for IAT Level II access.
- Willingness to travel 25-50% as needed.
