Summary
Dark Horse Technologies is seeking a talented and experienced Senior Configuration Manager to support the business systems of a Navy organization.
Duties, Tasks & Responsibilities
Establish and enforce configuration management policies, ensuring consistency across development, testing, and production environments.
Oversee the implementation and maintenance of version control systems to ensure efficient tracking and management of code changes.
Develop and maintain build and release processes, ensuring smooth integration of code changes into different environments.
Ensure adherence to quality standards and best practices in configuration management processes, promoting efficient and error-free code deployment.
Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate the testing, integration, and deployment of software releases.
Facilitate sprint planning sessions, ensuring a clear understanding of priorities, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
Organize and facilitate sprint reviews and retrospectives to gather feedback, celebrate achievements, and identify opportunities for improvement.
Define and implement branching strategies to facilitate parallel development efforts while maintaining code stability.
Coordinate the setup and configuration of development, testing, and production environments, ensuring alignment with project requirements.
Generate and maintain release documentation, including version release notes and configuration change logs.
Collaborate with development teams to understand code changes and requirements, ensuring proper configuration and integration.
Identify and mitigate risks associated with configuration changes, ensuring minimal impact on system stability and performance.
Implement and enforce security policies in configuration management processes to safeguard sensitive information and prevent unauthorized access.
Track and communicate relevant agile metrics, providing visibility into the team’s performance and identifying areas for enhancement.
Evaluate, implement, and manage tools for configuration management, version control, and automated deployment to streamline processes.
Establish monitoring mechanisms to track configuration changes and provide regular reports on the status of software and application configurations.
Provide support to development teams on the configuration management processes and maintain comprehensive documentation for future reference.
Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement within the configuration management framework, enhancing efficiency and reducing errors.
Required Experience, Skills, & Technologies
• Secret security clearance
• Associate’s degree in computer science, information technology, or an equivalent technical degree from an accredited college or university, or a Scrum Master Certification in lieu of the associate’s degree.
• At least three (3) years of relevant experience, preferably within the DoD
• Strong ability to prioritize and address multiple, concurrent projects with varying production timelines.
• Experience with applicable software suites, particularly Microsoft Office products, Adobe products, Gitlab and Jira

• Familiarity with DevOps products and platforms and processes
