Position Overview:
Quantum Science Solutions (QSS) is seeking a Cloud Solutions Architect to lead secure cloud infrastructure design, system integration, and enterprise modernization efforts in support of a U.S. Government customer. The ideal candidate will architect and deliver resilient IT solutions across hybrid and multi-cloud environments, while guiding Agile teams and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders.
This is a high-impact technical leadership role requiring deep expertise in cloud strategy, system security, enterprise architecture, and stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage complex IT integration programs, facilitating meetings, tracking schedules, capturing action items, and ensuring successful delivery.
• Develop program plans, technical proposals, and budget spend plans for enterprise-wide modernization initiatives.
• Analyze business needs and translate them into secure and scalable IT requirements.
• Evaluate and select appropriate cloud services to meet mission objectives.
• Design, deploy, and maintain network environments across commercial cloud platforms.
• Configure and maintain modern server and workstation environments with up-to-date patching and security baselines.
• Implement and monitor comprehensive cybersecurity protections to defend critical assets.
• Develop and maintain system security architectures, policies, procedures, and ATO documentation.
• Lead Agile teams and apply Scrum methodologies to deliver high-quality technical solutions.
• Organize and deliver concise verbal and written communications to senior stakeholders.
• Develop user manuals, training materials, technical guides, and operational documentation.
Mandatory Skills & Experience:
• Proven experience managing complex IT programs and facilitating cross-functional collaboration.
• Demonstrated expertise designing and securing cloud-based and hybrid infrastructures.
• Experience supporting network design, server builds, and operational hardening.
• Hands-on experience with ATO packages and IT system accreditation processes.
• Deep understanding of cloud strategy, cyber defense, and security architecture principles.
• Skilled in Agile delivery, including leading Scrum teams and managing product backlogs.
• Excellent communication, technical writing, and briefing skills for senior-level audiences.
Education Requirement:
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Preferred Skills:
• Experience evaluating enterprise network requirements and recommending cost-effective, scalable solutions.
• Ability to integrate architectural deliverables into cohesive, mission-aligned roadmaps.
• Strong project planning, risk management, and contingency planning capabilities.
• Proven experience briefing technical and programmatic capabilities to executive stakeholders.
• Familiarity with multi-cloud service environments and cloud-native infrastructure.

• Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP)
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional
• Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)

• Familiarity with O&M support and maintaining authorization status for mission-critical systems.
• Strong understanding of network engineering, cloud architecture reviews, and security integration.
